Questions & Answers
One of your own past runs, replayed at the pace it actually happened, so you can race it. RunChasr never invents a pace for you — every ghost is a real run you did. When you finish a new run, it's automatically available as a ghost for next time.
It suggests your most recent run by default, plus computed alternatives — your Personal Best, your Longest Distance, and a Recovery Standard pace. You can also pin any past run as a standing "protocol ghost" from its detail screen, or skip a ghost entirely and run solo.
The clock and distance start immediately. The ghost race display — the silhouettes, the gap, takeover alerts — appears about 15 seconds in, once GPS has settled enough to trust. That's deliberate: comparing against a few corrupted early readings would throw off the whole run.
Location is what measures your distance and pace during a run. RunChasr works fine with "While Using the App" access — tracking runs normally any time the app is open and active. If you'd like tracking to keep running when your screen locks or your phone's in your pocket mid-run, you can grant "Always" instead; it's optional, not required to use the app.
Not yet. In this version, your iPhone does the GPS tracking and your Watch mirrors the race live on your wrist. Standalone Watch tracking — no phone required — is planned for a future update.
Only briefly. Voice speaks on two occasions: the moment you take the lead or lose it, and — if you turn it on in Settings — a short spoken summary every 5 or 10 minutes. Both duck your audio for a couple of seconds rather than stopping it.
No. Runs are stored locally on your device (shared between your iPhone and Apple Watch) and written to Apple Health. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and RunChasr doesn't use any analytics or advertising SDKs. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
No. There's no sign-in and no account — RunChasr works entirely from what's stored on your own devices.
